Living in the Present, Part II

Yesterday, I told you how it is to live in the present. Today, I'm going to discuss HOW to do it. Every metaphysician does their 'thing' a little differently. I agree with Neville Goddard that you meditate on it for a certain amount of time and once that 'thing' is seeded in the universe, you don't have to think on it anymore. Because it is done. But what about when the doubts come in? Or every day life drags you down a little? Have you heard of triggers? You can set them for yourself. And what they do is set up an emotional trigger for an act. And that act can be physical or mental. For instance: Your dream is to go to Paris. Maybe in your meditative state you walked up to the Eiffel Tower and placed your hand on it. And every time you go to that state, you place your hand on the Eiffel Tower. After awhile, you can feel the cool metal, the angles, the divets. Until you realize that when you place your hand on the Eiffel Tower in your mind, you relax. Yo...

Summer of Change, Extra #7: Be your own guru

Image
And now the time has come. The Summer of Change is almost up, but your change has just begun. You have read and studied the gurus and worked at raising your vibration so that you are in more alignment with what you want and who you want to be. Now it is time to become your own guru. It’s a simple and easy thing to do. First off, you must understand that teachers are only telling you that which works for them. They come from different backgrounds, have had different experiences from you. So what works for them, may or may not work for you. And you may find by tweaking their suggestions that you can get them to really work for you. Listen to your intuition. Let it guide you. If something doesn’t work? Either move on to something else, or tweak it until it does. This is, in essence, becoming your own guru. Trusting in you to know what you need. Nobody else knows as much as you (And the I AM’ness inside) what you need. So it is time to take charge of your own life. Make deci...

Gettin' ready for the Summer of Change

Image
Summer of Change The time for change is now. It is never tomorrow. It is never “on Monday”, it is never “when I get the next paycheck”. The time for change is always now. When we get the intuitive lead for change, the time to act is right at this very moment. Waiting is always a bad idea. Maybe the easiest way to that change is happening right now and if you jump in, it will make itself known. Possibly the universe is making a suggestion and waiting for your wholehearted acceptance before it tosses every available help it has in your direction. The thing is: Do it Now. Get the desire to be in better shape? Go for a walk. Sign up at a gym. Take a hike up a nearby mountain. Join a swimming group. Take horse riding lessons. Want to lose weight? There are two ways to go about that and they both can work. Research diets, make up menus for the next 30 days and stick to them religiously (there are several issues that go along with this I will mention in a moment). See yourse...

This is not a good vs evil world

For some reason, humanity loves to be caught between the concepts of GOOD vs EVIL. Which in some becomes an US vs THEM scenario. What is worse? Me vs ME. And that is what everything comes down to. For there is no overwhelming good or evil. There is just us; how we think, feel, and how we act on those thoughts and feelings. This brings to mind that little thing we did as girls. You know what I'm talking about. First we would pick up a pretty flower, then we would mutilate it while we said the following: He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. All the while hoping for the first and fearing the latter would come true. And what usually happened? He loves me not. And if, by chance it came out He loves me? We would do it again, assuring our own destiny by working until the He loves me not appeared. Knowing about the law of attraction and seeing how it works, and with each step seeing more and more how it truly does create our reality, can you see how this...

Peace instead of chaos

If we could change the world, how would we do it? Love and acceptance. Strength. Peace. With those four things overriding everything else, how could the future not be rosy?

Okay, so you have done everything you can do. Enjoyed the simple things Laughed and Loved - for the pure joy of it Learned that Beauty is Everywhere Laughed just because you can Accepted that it is okay to be Imperfectly Perfect Smiled just for the fun of it Opened your heart Thrown out your self-imposed limits Let go and just enjoy life Accepted who you are and found others just as wonderfully weird as you Chosen to change Laughed like a little child Focused on your goal Found your peace Expressed your gratitude Turned off the TV Learned to sluff off the fast running water just like the rocks Let your imagination soar Found others to encourage you Turned your thoughts upside down Accepted that only you can write your future Taken that first step forward and started Changed your perspective Done something silly Looked at things through a different lens Looked for the light, and found it Embraced your own flower Chosen a color Focused Relaxed and just flo...

Day 12 - At peace

( Originally posted July 31, 2008 Boundless Living Challenge ) First let me thank everyone who has offered encouragement and help in my little perfection issue. I was such at an impervious wall, and now I have so many "helps". I feel at peace. I took Amy Jo's advice and filled out the Radical Worksheet and it was interesting as I went through what I was feeling about those events years ago, and then, for the first time I actually thought of what I knew about her (my grandmother's ) life. I was able to truly look at what her life was like and how she was a product of her own upbringing. I had "forgiven" her years ago, but I don"t think fully. It wasn"t until this time while I was writing about her life that I truly felt sorry for her. She was the product of her time and of her family. She didn"t have the chance like I do to overcome all of it. The fact that I just called her my grandmother - I haven't called her that for years. She had a...

Day 12 - Found major resistance

( Originally posted July 31, 2008 Boundless Living Challenge ) Well, yesterday (Day 11) I came across some major resistance. It is an issue I have had all my life, and yesterday it hit really hard. I was really tired, and it came up while I was doing EFT. I have this intense need to be perfect. If I'm not perfect it truly throws me off - actually it destroys me. When I started the tapping, I immediately lost it. You could say that on a scale of 0-10, my reaction was a 20. I tapped 3 times and got it down to a 15. I changed the wording a little bit, but that is where it stayed. I need to get this resistance down, I'm just not sure what words I need to use. After getting the feeling down a tiny bit, I tried some positive tapping to see if that could help, but when I tried to tap "It is ok if I'm not perfect", all I heard was "Oh NO IT'S NOT!" Now, I know where this issue comes from. I know who started it and why its there. I had this issue crammed int...
