Living in the Present, Part II

Yesterday, I told you how it is to live in the present. Today, I'm going to discuss HOW to do it.

Every metaphysician does their 'thing' a little differently. I agree with Neville Goddard that you meditate on it for a certain amount of time and once that 'thing' is seeded in the universe, you don't have to think on it anymore. Because it is done.

But what about when the doubts come in? Or every day life drags you down a little?

Have you heard of triggers? You can set them for yourself. And what they do is set up an emotional trigger for an act. And that act can be physical or mental.

For instance: Your dream is to go to Paris. Maybe in your meditative state you walked up to the Eiffel Tower and placed your hand on it. And every time you go to that state, you place your hand on the Eiffel Tower. After awhile, you can feel the cool metal, the angles, the divets. Until you realize that when you place your hand on the Eiffel Tower in your mind, you relax. Your muscles go lax and you feel free. At some point, you know your job is done and all it now requires is some rest from your wearies. Not only have you solidified that dream with the universe, but you have created that trigger. So when you find yourself getting uptight or stressed or you have to deal with a particularly annoying client, take a few seconds and FEEL yourself touching the Eiffel Tower. You've done it enough in your meditative state that it comes naturally. And the peace follows. Now, you're in the right energy.

How about if you want to find Mr. or Mrs. Right? Imagine something. Holding their hand in a certain way, touching their cheek, looking into their eyes while you meditate. See it. Feel it. Drink the peace. Once the dream is solidified in the universe, when you feel stressed or down or in any way 'off,' imagine that motion, that touch. Feel the peace of having it already have happened.

Going after a dream job? Same thing. Imagine something small, some tiny thing that really signifies that you've got that dream. CEO? Imagine sitting down in your comfortable leather chair in front of a huge desk with floor-to-ceiling windows behind you. Rub your hand over the leather & wood desk. Concert Pianist? Imagine yourself seated at a grand piano on a certain stage in a certain venue. Touch the keys, feel the energy. Know you're there.

See where I'm going with this? For these dreams that are so big they mean a lot to us, it is hard to keep on the right vibration because we want it so badly. However, once we set that trigger, we can use it all day long. Remember - this isn't about being perfect. We're human and we make mistakes. But, when things go sour or you just feel down, this is a real way you can up your vibration easily.

Mine, once triggered, can keep me peaceful for hours and hours. It can get me through dealing with difficult family or situations. It can turn around potentially negative events. It can change EVERYTHING.

Note; Everyone has different senses, but I have found that touch has a major effect as a trigger. Because I can think on it daily and it can put me into a wonderfully blissed state. Everyone is different though, so if touch doesn't do it for you - if after a certain amount of time you just don't get a relaxed, blissed state from mental touch, try one of your other senses. Try what works for others, but always tweak it for you.

Now go... create your trigger, live in the now, and live all of your dreams.

(For those who want more information on forming the perfect Trigger for you - I've created a little more information here.)
