End of one Journey, beginning of a new one

Image
When I started this blog in August 2008, I had no idea where my journey would take me. I only knew it had started the winter before with the watching of What the Bleep Do We Know? And reading The Secret 2 months later. I could see how I attracted what I didn’t want. When the Boundless Living Challenge (went defunct in 2013) came up – 45 days to a goal – I jumped in. If you’ve read my first 2-3 months of blog posts, you’ll see how much that changed me. I mean, I went from mostly negative with a small percentage of blah to being positive at least 50% of the time. That’s tremendous! While I haven’t blogged as much as I did then, I have kept up my journey. I’ve had amazing moments. I’ve had disheartened moments. And I’ve let you travel it along with me because I thought people needed to see that they were okay, that having ups and downs was normal. The journey that started Winter 2008 ended in Summer 2013. In late Summer/early Fall 2013, I started a new journey – a higher journey e...

Dumping Energy Blocks

There are a lot of gurus out there. Tons. Possibly millions. And guess what? They are all probably right. For them. And possibly a few of them have the right path for you to follow. However, there is something that may be holding you back. It doesn't matter which of the paths you take. Whether its following Neville Goddard or Abraham-Hicks, the masters of The Secret or the spiritualist down at your local New Age store. If this one thing is holding you back, none of their work will get you where you want to be. Now, don't screech and fall over. Let me explain. We're all energy, right? And everything we're talking about deals with energy. So if you have an energy block against whatever it is you're going for and you don't take care of it? You can try and try and try and try and try as much as you can. You can even succeed. However, if you haven't cleared that energy block, your success is likely to turn on its head and leave you wondering what happened...

Resolving past blocks simply and easily

I know what you're thinking. It sounds too easy right? How can one resolve past blocks simply and easily? Well, first let's discuss what past blocks are. The body is energy and when it flows freely we are at one with the universe and we receive when we ask. We aren't bogged down in negative emotion or physical issues. However, when something occurs that puts a block in a part of our energy, we begin to have issues. They may pop up instantly (like a sudden lack of cash flow), or they may take years to develop (such as in the case of a dis-ease like cancer). The thing is to get rid of that energy block so that the natural energy of the universe can flow freely again. Over our life time(s), we have garnered many such energy blocks. They can come from anything. A person saying something rude about it. Getting angry at someone. And let's be clear: We are the creators of our own reality. (Though that does not mean another might not affect us - more on that in a later post...

Living in the Now

If you aren’t a newbie to the metaphysical world, you’ve heard the phrase “Living in the Now” many times. The question is: do you know what it means? My ‘meaning’ of it has changed several times as I come to a new level of understanding. For a long time it was difficult to get in the realm of “living in the now”. Some gurus make it sound like you just have to give up what you want. That’s not true. (And it caused me a major headache for a long time.) But how do you live in the now without losing what you want? Good question. And I will endeavor to explain, but I do think this is one of those things that you won’t know until you know. Sorry about that - it's true. So, living in the now. First off, this is assuming you have asked the universe for what you want, solidified it outside time and space in the 4th dimension, and no longer need to concentrate on it. That’s right. Part of Living in the Now is no longer concentrating on what you want. For one thing, You need to FE...

Unburden your dreams #metaphysics #loa

You know those moments where you have a-ha moments and it's like everything comes together? I had one of those today. This A-ha moment came with sparkles and happiness galore. I'm going to tell you what I found out, and then explain it. Don't be shocked. Have you ever realized what a burden dreams can be? I'd hand over a pillow for you to fall down upon, but hopefully you were sitting down when you read that. Yes, dreams can be heavy burdens, but I didn't really get that until today. What do I mean? Well, let me explain how I figured it out. There are several dreams I've been working on for a long time. Since I found Neville Goddard's and Florence Scovel Shinn's teachings, they have been a major focus of what I desire most in my life. For the past 14 months, I've lived, eaten, and breathed these dreams.  Only one problem - while I've glimpsed them and felt them in the 4th dimension, so far they have not taken physical form. You mus...

Summer of Change #15: Stretch your thought

Image
Find yourself stuck? Maybe it’s time to stretch your thoughts. Push those boundaries. See what you are made of. I’ve been doing that a lot over the last 10 months and the difference it has made has been amazing. I’ve studied new philosophies and meditation techniques, tried out new writing genres, learned to channel, and went from a size 18 to a size 7 in that time. (With no dieting.) I’ve communed with people I never would have given notice to before and have learned much from them. I’ve run a project from start to finish and am seeing the fruits of that labor. And it started with a stretching of my thought process. I was already a student of the Law of Attraction and last summer I bought the book E-Squared. Some of those experiments worked, others didn’t. But I had stretched my mind again. And as it stretched, I found Neville Goddard and I stretched my thought processes even more. Found new ways to make my dreams a reality, some that worked for me, others that didn’t. And ...

Can you Expect and Know at the same time?

I don't know about you, but at times I can be a very literal person. If someone tells me to 'know' something has happened, to 'act' like something has happened, I'm on it. And then...someone else ads the word 'expect'. Anyone else freak out when that happens? It's taken me a little time to break things down and consider how both of those things can live simultaneously and still bring about one's chosen result. So, let's start with definitions (I got these from Merriam-Webster): And yes, there are more definitions than these,  but I think these specific definitions help us to understand how both work together to bring about our dreams and goals. expectation noun \ˌek-ˌspek-ˈtā-shən, ik-\ : a belief that something will happen or is likely to happen : a feeling or belief about how successful, good, etc., someone or something will be know verb \ˈnō\ : to understand (something) : to have a clear and complete idea of (something) So,...

Dreams In Hand - a new book of poetry. Coming Soon.

Image
Okay I am both excited and nervous to announce I am releasing a book of poems I have written. You know, sending out fiction is by far easier than sending out poetry as each poem feels like a piece of my soul. But, I really want to share these. As you know, I have been on a metaphysical journey for seven or eight years now. Lately I have been working through the teachings of Neville Goddard and Florence Scovel Shinn. They make so much sense to me and I have literally been able to watch my life change into my dreams. All of the poems in this book were written after I began studying Neville and for those who are familiar with his teachings, they should ring a few bells. But even if you haven't read him, I hope they will give you hope, make you smile, laugh, cry, and feel excited to move forward with whatever your dreams are. Coming Soon! In both eBook and Print. Dreams In Hand a book of metaphysical poetry A journey through the soul and back Poems included: Dreams Real...

Don't help. Don't get in the way.

Hello, friends. So, you are on track, right? You've read your current guru's books, are doing what they've told you, feeling good...and yet, nothing's happening? Surely that couldn't be? So, being the good human you are, you try and 'help'. *sound of annoying buzzer going off* Stop! I hate to tell you this, but your 'helping' just slows everything down. Yep, it does. Whatever you choose to call it (universe, source, divine mind, god - I will refer to this power as Divine Mind for the rest of this message) knows what it is doing and doesn't need any help from a human, thank you very much. So every time you try and 'help' you actually throw things off and lengthen the time between when you ask and when you receive. So what can you do? Do you really want to know? Relax. Affirm. Enjoy. Feel good. Laugh. Have fun. Show your gratitude for everything you have been given (and yes, that includes your dreams). Now, that doesn'...

Goal achieved!

Okay, I am here to share with you something big that I achieved! Weight loss. Yep. How many people keep trying to lose weight and can't make it? I've been there, a lot. When I was in my mid-20s, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and took medication that made me gain a tremendous amount of weight. I have fought for 20 years trying to get rid of it. But what do we say? What we fight fights back, right? So I have been a size 16 for years, no matter how much I went to the gym. Sometimes I would drop to a 14 or a 12, but not for long. When I started studying Neville Goddard's teachings in September, I made three huge goals, but I also had several smaller ones. One of my smaller ones was to be a size 7 like I was when I was 21. I affirmed it and then let it go. My focus was on my three larger goals for several months so except for noting that my clothes were becoming awful loose, I didn't really pay attention. Until I went to the store to buy new sweats and came home...

Give yourself a break

Image
I can see it. You've been working so hard on yourself. Keeping up the positive affirmations. Meditating frequently. Reminding yourself that you must think from 'the end'. And now you are as frazzled as a pancake. Because you want your dreams to be true now and so you work so hard at it. Only, this should not feel like work. Ever. When it feels like work, you are doing something wrong. More than likely? Just trying too hard. Yes, yes, I know you want your dreams. I want them for you! But do me a favor? Give yourself a break! You need to give your mind and heart a break. Walk away for a moment. Laugh. Go ride a roller coaster. Walk along the beach. Stop thinking. Just for a few minutes. Breathe. Relax. Now, enjoy yourself. Your dreams are waiting. They can wait another hour. If you feel frantic, that will just keep them further at bay~! Remember, imagine your dream until it has ta...

Golden Light Meditation

I want to share with you what I call my Golden Light Meditation . Let me start off by saying I am a Reiki Master and Trainer, so I see light as gold anyway. In fact, before I even got my first Reiki attunements, I always saw clean, healing light as golden. Once I started practicing Reiki, I was able to see that light coming in through the top of my head and out of my hands. Clean, pure, healing energy. So that is your first thing - Imagine a light, whether it be gold, white, or yellow. One that makes you think warmth and comfort. That is the light you should have in mind when you do this. For me it is gold, but that does not mean it has to be for you. Just as long as it is in the gold, white, yellow spectrum. Lay or sit somewhere quiet. I prefer to lay down because I can get so comfortable that way. But I know many prefer to sit so that they don't fall asleep. Personally, I think falling asleep is actually helpful with this type of meditation as it carries everything you just ...

When Spidey's come a'calling

Okay, if you've been reading my blog, you know that spiders are a clear sign to me that I have taken a wrong path or that I need to do something to change my direction. They are also my reality booster . I trust these little suckers, whereas all my life i've hated them. Now, I treasure them for the little sign posts that they are. For about a month, I haven't seen hair nor hide of a spidey. Knowing that meant I was on the right track, I've been swimming along. It feels good to know you are going in the direction you want to go. Then, starting two days ago, I had a bit of a scare. Physical output of former thoughts came into my sphere and freaked me out. I meditated and it went away. For a short period of time. But each day the tension and extreme emotion come back and I keep meditating. Meditation makes it go away, so does immersing myself into my strongest Imagination, the one I know is my virtual reality. Just last night I was telling a friend of mine that I ha...

Submissions open for Neville stories

Hey! As you know, if you've been following my blog, I'm loving what Neville Goddard's teachings are doing in my life. And the stories he shares in his books are wonderful. But they were from decades ago. As such, I want to create a book of modern-day success stories. If you have used Neville's teachings to positively affect your life or that of another, I would love to hear about it. Check out my submission page for more information.

How do I know when I have done enough?

When can we rest from our labors? No matter what guru you listen to, the question invariably comes up: "How do I know when I have done enough to bring my dream about?" This is a difficult and yet important question for anyone who has realized and/or is working on creating their best life. How do you know? The simple, and most honest, answer I can give you is that only you will know that. I know that sounds unhelpful, but it's true. Let me try and explain using Neville's teachings. If you have studied any Neville at all, you know that the bible is not fact, but allegory. It teaches us, in symbols, how to create the best life for us. In the bible, they tell us we must labor for six days and rest upon the seventh. Now, that does not mean we have to haul ass for 6 sets of 24 hours and then collapse for the next 24. Remember, we are being taught in symbols. "6 days" could be six hours or thirteen days or 24 months or even 7.2 seconds... It isn't based...

How to not to make your brain laugh its frontal lobe off

Okay, here you are. It's the 5th of January. You are still riding high on your renewed New Year's Resolution to make all your dreams come true. Hell, you are still going to the gym with your NYR to lose 5 pounds. Okay, so you don't go every day, but still! You are trying. Right? So, why when you do as the gurus tell you and tell yourself a lie do you hear your brain laughing itself silly? For instance - and I am using this one because it is one of the BIGGEST dreams people have. I AM wealthy. All right, admit it, if you aren't already wealthy, you heard a snicker or a "yeah, right!" in the back of your head. Wanna get past that? In fact, sneak your way around it so that your brain is so busy with the good stuff that it doesn't notice until it is ingrained and feels natural? Yeah? Well, I just recently fell into a much easier trick for it. And it doesn't involve repeating the phrase a million times a day or writing it until you have carp...

When will it happen?

When one starts out on the path to 'making their own life', one rather normal question is "When will it happen?" We are 'time-based' people. What I mean by that is we were raised in a culture where time is constant and everything is based upon it. Well first - I have news for you. Time is not only NOT constant, it doesn't truly exist. Time is a human-construct, created as a means to make sense of our reality. Because through millenias that is what we have struggled to do. Make sense of our reality. The problem with that is our wrong belief that what we see is actual reality. We judge everything by what is in front of us. So, if we stub our toe on the way out of the door in the morning and hop around like an idiot on one foot for ten seconds swearing like a banshee, we might make the comment "This is going to be an awful day!" And then when the day just gets worse and worse, we pat ourselves on the back for being pre-cognizant for recognizi...

That which you desire to be

When one starts on the road to their fulfillment by spiritual and mental changes, it is a strange and unique journey. I have been through several 'teachers'. I didn't leave their 'teachings' because I disagreed with them. In fact, I am thankful for those teachers and what they taught me. But any good teacher will tell you that what they teach is only there to help you move on to greater learning. Currently I am working with The Law as taught by Neville Goddard (albeit I do it without most of the jesus/god references). His teaching that nothing is without, but everything is within makes sense to me. That our entire outer picture is created by what we think, what we focus on, and what we believe. I am grateful for all the teachers who I had before that prepared me for this journey. In fact, I am in agreeance with the phrase "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Neville taught this great Law starting in the late 1930s. And yet, I only fo...

Change of sight can be scary

Change is very difficult overall for the human race. I read once that people were more scared of change than of dying. Which sounds stupid until you realize that death tends to come quickly for most of us. Change? Not so much. In all actuality, if we would allow it, change can be instantaneous. The problem is, we don't allow it. And even when we do allow it, the new way of seeing things may not seem right-it might be so far different than what we are used to that we cannot handle it. So what do we do? We retreat...turn back...convince ourselves the 'us' previous to change wasn't so bad. Because the momentary fear or discomfort is not something we can look past. And yes, it is momentary. As I mentioned in another post, I have been working with Neville Goddard's The Law and I can see the changes. Some of them have been instantaneous, some have taken a few days. Some are still ruminating until my mind releases its resistance to the change required. But what mak...
