Reaching a Baseline #metaphysics #LifeImprovement

In my path to knowing myself, I have had a few occurrences of what I would call reaching a new level of complete understanding. It's reaching a new ledge where my baseline is much higher than it was. It's always an incredibly affirming moment. So, what is a baseline? We all have emotional upheavals, left turns, right turns, and sometimes we feel like we're upside down. Baselines are where our 'normal' is. So if we are at the lowest rung, our baseline could possibly be pretty negative. Or numb. Or not understanding anything. We might start feeling good, but then something dislodges us and we go under the baseline and after we get out of it, are back to how we felt before. At the beginning, that baseline doesn't necessarily feel 'good', but it's better than the horrible feelings we had. However, if we are on a path of becoming a better 'me', at some point we will transition to a new baseline. With me, I've known it each time it happ...

Don't stare at the sun...

Image
This morning I was at the gym reading a book on Astrology for Writers - basically how to do story and character creation using astrology archetypes as your guide. Just before I left, something hit me and it took a few minutes to percolate before I realized what was tugging at my brain. So I had to create an image to encapsulate it. Essentially, everyone tells us "Don't look at the sun or you'll go blind." But there are more ways to go blind than just by physical sight. To go spiritually blind or blind to one's own good nature is far worse in my opinion. So if you take the Sun as the hero aspect - intrinsically good, strong, heroic, always on the side of right, etc, and you stare at such an individual constantly, you'll always focus and intensify certain parts of who they are: Wow, look at how built he is. She's so smart. He can do anything. She won the local marathon. Those kinds of thoughts are made up by our egos. And we start to compare th...

A big BOOM on Day 22 of #40days of meditation

Whoa. It's been quite a day. So I've been using grounding meditations the last couple days as I decided it was way past time I learned to communicate with the external beings who keep trying to contact me. They've been ringing in my ears for two years - for the first year and a half, I thought some strange things about it. Since the ringing happened often when I was writing Highlander Romances, and stopped the moment I stopped writing them, I figured someone was trying to tell me I shouldn't write those. Don't laugh ;) Every time for weeks when I would work on an HR, within moments the ringing started and the moment I stopped, the noise stopped. So I put all my Highland romances away and stopped writing them entirely. Then the sound came up again while I was doing nothing. And then again when I was doing something different. Then, about 7 months ago, I was going nutso because it started and wouldn't stop. For three days I did not get much sleep because ...

Living in the Now

If you aren’t a newbie to the metaphysical world, you’ve heard the phrase “Living in the Now” many times. The question is: do you know what it means? My ‘meaning’ of it has changed several times as I come to a new level of understanding. For a long time it was difficult to get in the realm of “living in the now”. Some gurus make it sound like you just have to give up what you want. That’s not true. (And it caused me a major headache for a long time.) But how do you live in the now without losing what you want? Good question. And I will endeavor to explain, but I do think this is one of those things that you won’t know until you know. Sorry about that - it's true. So, living in the now. First off, this is assuming you have asked the universe for what you want, solidified it outside time and space in the 4th dimension, and no longer need to concentrate on it. That’s right. Part of Living in the Now is no longer concentrating on what you want. For one thing, You need to FE...

Living in the Present, Part II

Yesterday, I told you how it is to live in the present. Today, I'm going to discuss HOW to do it. Every metaphysician does their 'thing' a little differently. I agree with Neville Goddard that you meditate on it for a certain amount of time and once that 'thing' is seeded in the universe, you don't have to think on it anymore. Because it is done. But what about when the doubts come in? Or every day life drags you down a little? Have you heard of triggers? You can set them for yourself. And what they do is set up an emotional trigger for an act. And that act can be physical or mental. For instance: Your dream is to go to Paris. Maybe in your meditative state you walked up to the Eiffel Tower and placed your hand on it. And every time you go to that state, you place your hand on the Eiffel Tower. After awhile, you can feel the cool metal, the angles, the divets. Until you realize that when you place your hand on the Eiffel Tower in your mind, you relax. Yo...

Living in the present, Part I

I've been on an upward slide for 18 years now and a student of metaphysics for ten of those. One of the questions that always plagued me was this: If we are supposed to keep our dreams fully affixed in our heads and yet be truly present in the now, wasn't that a bit of an oxymoron? Turns out, it's not. I've heard too many people discuss it who don't seem to understand it and I'm just finally grasping it, so let me see if I can explain so it makes sense. It all has to do with energy. If we live in the past, our energy is low. If we live in the future, always waiting for it to come, our energy is frantic. If we live in the NOW, knowing our dreams have come true, we are at peace and our energy is where it needs to be for having those dreams. It all comes down to vibration, doesn't it? In everything. What are you vibrating right now? Are you vibrating in the 'yesterday' vibe about all the things that happened then? Guess what, yesterday w...

Join me in being in the Now

If you've dealt with metaphysics at all, you've probably heard the phrase "be in the now". Now, considering the fact that they also say to live 'in the end', I will admit, I get confused as to the concept. I figured out six months ago that, at the time, it meant thinking in a completely different way to the way I was thinking before, and as always happens in the study of anything, the deeper you go, the more our knowledge of said definitions change. I've been thinking a lot about being in the now today and I am thinking, at my current level of knowledge, that there is a depth there that I am ready to grasp. As such, I am focused in July to being 'in the now', to take 15 minutes a day and just be. No thinking of other things, no imagining the end, no going over plot lines in my head (which is my biggest mind filler). Just take those fifteen minutes to be aware. Aware of what? Good question. I know there is so much we don't 'see' ...

It's a piece of cake

Hey, all :) How's your 2015 going? Hopefully swimmingly. So, let me tell you what that title means. I'm sure everyone has heard how 'easy' it is to get things to work for you. Easy is all relative. If you are a naturally positive person, I could see it as being much easier than if you're not. Plus, easy to whom? People who have been doing it for years and who have gained the majority of what they truly wanted? In hindsight things look easier, don't they? But that doesn't mean they have to be hard. In fact, they could be a piece of cake. What do I mean? Have you tried getting the little things? Or, even having the little things come through without trying? For me, they are a wonderful, happy reminder of how this universe works. I don't try anymore to see if they work, they just do. Last Friday, I was on my way home from the gym and I thought, "Oh, I'd like a piece of cake." I even knew exactly what bakery it would be from and how it ...

Unburden your dreams #metaphysics #loa

You know those moments where you have a-ha moments and it's like everything comes together? I had one of those today. This A-ha moment came with sparkles and happiness galore. I'm going to tell you what I found out, and then explain it. Don't be shocked. Have you ever realized what a burden dreams can be? I'd hand over a pillow for you to fall down upon, but hopefully you were sitting down when you read that. Yes, dreams can be heavy burdens, but I didn't really get that until today. What do I mean? Well, let me explain how I figured it out. There are several dreams I've been working on for a long time. Since I found Neville Goddard's and Florence Scovel Shinn's teachings, they have been a major focus of what I desire most in my life. For the past 14 months, I've lived, eaten, and breathed these dreams.  Only one problem - while I've glimpsed them and felt them in the 4th dimension, so far they have not taken physical form. You mus...

Dreams In Hand - a new book of poetry. Coming Soon.

Image
Okay I am both excited and nervous to announce I am releasing a book of poems I have written. You know, sending out fiction is by far easier than sending out poetry as each poem feels like a piece of my soul. But, I really want to share these. As you know, I have been on a metaphysical journey for seven or eight years now. Lately I have been working through the teachings of Neville Goddard and Florence Scovel Shinn. They make so much sense to me and I have literally been able to watch my life change into my dreams. All of the poems in this book were written after I began studying Neville and for those who are familiar with his teachings, they should ring a few bells. But even if you haven't read him, I hope they will give you hope, make you smile, laugh, cry, and feel excited to move forward with whatever your dreams are. Coming Soon! In both eBook and Print. How to not to make your brain laugh its frontal lobe off

Okay, here you are. It's the 5th of January. You are still riding high on your renewed New Year's Resolution to make all your dreams come true. Hell, you are still going to the gym with your NYR to lose 5 pounds. Okay, so you don't go every day, but still! You are trying. Right? So, why when you do as the gurus tell you and tell yourself a lie do you hear your brain laughing itself silly? For instance - and I am using this one because it is one of the BIGGEST dreams people have. I AM wealthy. All right, admit it, if you aren't already wealthy, you heard a snicker or a "yeah, right!" in the back of your head. Wanna get past that? In fact, sneak your way around it so that your brain is so busy with the good stuff that it doesn't notice until it is ingrained and feels natural? Yeah? Well, I just recently fell into a much easier trick for it. And it doesn't involve repeating the phrase a million times a day or writing it until you have carp...

When will it happen?

When one starts out on the path to 'making their own life', one rather normal question is "When will it happen?" We are 'time-based' people. What I mean by that is we were raised in a culture where time is constant and everything is based upon it. Well first - I have news for you. Time is not only NOT constant, it doesn't truly exist. Time is a human-construct, created as a means to make sense of our reality. Because through millenias that is what we have struggled to do. Make sense of our reality. The problem with that is our wrong belief that what we see is actual reality. We judge everything by what is in front of us. So, if we stub our toe on the way out of the door in the morning and hop around like an idiot on one foot for ten seconds swearing like a banshee, we might make the comment "This is going to be an awful day!" And then when the day just gets worse and worse, we pat ourselves on the back for being pre-cognizant for recognizi...
