Showing posts with the label doubt

Day 20 of #40days of meditation and all sorts of surprises

Day 20 of my 40 days of meditation and I've had a few mind blowing moments over the last couple days. davidji said that the thing about meditation is that it quiets your mind and lets you receive inspiration easier when you are not in a meditative state. I can attest to that. I'll also say that I had a tussle with myself on whether or not to write this post. The experiences I've had over the last few days have been intense and affirming. But then doubt came in. "Will they think I'm gloating if I write down what happened?" "Will they tsk and tell me it couldn't have happened?" And then I realized I was letting doubt and fear cloud the amazing things that happened. So, here is a small look into the last few days. 1: A little over a week ago, I saw a few free videos from Dr. Wayne Dyer. In one of them he talked about how we are, at our core, light. Now, I have been widdling down my affirmations to one that I use if I get emotionally out of s...

You're human. Give yourself a break

As humans, we expect perfection from ourselves. In my last post I talked about breaking away from stuff that is meant to feel good when it feels bad. Today, I'm just going to simply tell you: You're human. You are going to have bad moments every once in awhile. It's going to happen. Don't beat yourself up about it. Recognize your feelings, appreciate them for what they are, and when you are able to - find your belief and travel upward again. At the beginning, one bad thought isn't going to hurt you. If you persist in negative thoughts, then you are fighting against the wind, but I think it more likely that you may expect yourself to do it perfectly the first time. And you may find that you did. The first thing you worked for came through quickly and effortlessly just like you read about. But the second? Is a struggle. And you begin to doubt. Overall, if you continue to doubt and don't replace it with belief and the right thoughts, it will derail you, b...

The Frustration Point

Sitting here, I have hit upon a realization. We all go toward our dreams/goals with passion and purpose. We hit many obstacles along the way, some are easy to cross, others more difficult. Then we come to what I have decided to call "The Frustration Point". This point comes ever closer to our actual goal. We have placed the goal firmly in our mind. We can see it, we can taste it - In our minds we are living it. The only problem is: the spiritual goal has not yet manifested in the physical form. Sitting here, I recognize this within myself. I see where I am at. I am ready to live this - I am ready for it all to be in its physical state. Mentally I have been there for awhile. Now, I find myself thinking - what more do I need to do? Ordinarily this would cause extreme frustration, then anger and then the tossing out of my goals. As James Ray said in the Secret. We plant the seed and expect it to grow and we watch it daily. Then, just before it bursts through into the light, we g...
